On 9 February 2019 Alessio Miori and Vincenzo Mascaro skied a possible new line down Punta Castellaccio above the Tonale Pass in the Adamello - Presanella group of the Italian Alps.

Luca Dallavalle reports about the probable first ski descent of the east face of Cima Tosa in the Brenta Dolomites, climbed and skied on 03/03/2019 with his brother Roberto Dallavalle.

The third stage of the Ski Mmountaineering World Cup 2019 was staged this weekend at Le Dévoluy in France. Matteo Eydallin and Axelle Mollaret won the Individual race, while Iwan Arnold and Marianne Fatton won the Sprint.

French alpinists Julien Herry and Laurent Bibollet have scored the first descent of the Triple couloir on the West Face of Les Drus in the Mont Blanc massif. The two descended on snowboard.

On 18/12/2018 Sébastien de Sainte Marie skied a line, possibly new, down the North Face of Hübschhorn, Lepontine Alps, Switzerland.

The film Zabardast directed by Jérôme Tanon that documents a trip into the heart of the Karakorum to explore the potential for freeride skiing in Pakistan. The highlight was the ski descent of 5880m high Biacherahi. With Thomas Delfino, Léo Taillefer, Zak Mills, Yannick Graziani and Hélias Millerioux.
