In mid 2018 Jochen Mesle and Max Kroneck made an extraordinary crossing of the Alps, by bike and on skis, climbing and descending some of the 4000ers along the way.
Conditions proved harsh yet the Germans persevered and after six weeks they reached the palm trees at Nice after having negotiated 1800 km and 35000 vertical meters. Their journey is recounted in this award-winning movie Ice & Palms.
