CAMPThe CAI Eagle Team is a high-standard training programme put in place by the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) and the Italian Academic Alpine Club (CAAI), together with Matteo Della Bordella. Attendees for the 2026-27 edition are Marta Andreose, Luca Bertacco, Pierluigi Carducci, Pietro Carrara, Matteo Curti, Lorenzo Dal Santo, Lucia Furlani, Silvia Lamboglia, Samuele Mauro, Andrea Pasinetti, Nicolò Polidori, Mattia Proserpio, Sabrina Rigon and Giacomo Vannucci.
According to Eddy Codega, excited about the project and the meeting, "it was a real pleasure to greet these talented young people. I could sense their motivation, they were interested in the history and vision of our company, and were also impressed by the unique features that make it stand out, starting from the fact that it is owned and managed by the same family, and is located in a valley at an altitude of 1,000m".
Eager to know more, the group asked many questions, especially when they met the designers, who presented relevant features concerning the development of several tools selected for the CAI Eagle Team.
"C.A.M.P. – the President continues – is a keen supporter of this pivotal project by the Italian Alpine Club, with whom we share the love of the mountains and a long history. Ours is an active, concrete form of support, destined for people we deem special; they will be part of an outstanding team, with whom they’ll share their passion for mountaineering. We take even more pride as this venture is led by Matteo Della Bordella, a member of the Ragni di Lecco – we’ve been one of their sponsors since 2017 – and part of our athletes since 2026, together with Alessandro Baù and Francesco Ratti, both C.A.M.P. athletes, as well".
Founded in 1889, led by the fourth generation of the Codega family and based in Premana, in the Lecco mountains, C.A.M.P. boasts a tradition that is barely equalled elsewhere.
