Piolets d'Or 2025: Anja Petek & Patricija Verdev receive Special Mention for Female Mountaineering for ascent of Lalung I Slovenian alpinists Anja Petek and Patricija Verdev are the recipients of Piolets d'Or Special Mention for Female Mountaineering, for their first ascent of Lalung I in the Indian Himalaya. The awards will be celebrated at San Martino di Castrozza (Italy) from 9 - 12 December 2025

Chiaroveggenza added to Marmolada (Dolomites) by Nicolò Geremia, Mirco Grasso On the south face of Marmolada (Dolomites) Nicolò Geremia and Mirco Grasso have completed their new climb 'Chiaroveggenza'. The two alpinists had established the first 10 pitches to the halfway ledge in 2019, and this summer added a final 10 to the summit of Punta Ombretta.
