Radoslav Groh and Zdeněk Hák have made the first ascent of the previously unclimbed southeast face of Hunza Peak (7260m) in the Karakorum, Pakistan. The two Czech mountaineers climbed alpine style ofver a period of 5 days at the start of June.

On 27 June 2025, Luca Fois embarked on '86 Dolomites', the ambitious project to link all 86 peaks over 3,000 meters in the Dolomites in a single continuous effort. The 40-year-old Italian is joined by a team of experts comprised of Giuseppe Obinu, Emanuele Chessa and Michael Turconi.

French alpinists Léo Billon and Enzo Oddo have made the first ascent of ‘OSS ne répond plus..’ (7a+, 700m) on the West Face of Aiguille du Plan, Mont Blanc.

From 1 - 23 May 2025 American alpinists Erik Boomer and Ky Hart have made the first ascent of 'Sikunga Express' (WI3 M7 5.10 A3+, 975m, 19 pitches) on Baffin Island, Canada.

From 6 - 13 June 2025 alpinists Ethan Berman, Maarten van Haeren and Sebastian Pelletti made the first ascent of ‘Shooting the Moon’ (WI4 M5, 3100m), a magnificent new mixed route climbed alpine style on Ultar Sar, Pakistan.

A group of slackliners has completed a highline between Dent du Géant and Mont Mallet in the Mont Blanc massif. Called La Ligne Géant, this has been described as ‘arguably the most complex and uncertain line ever done.’
