After the magnificent limestone crags at Finale Ligure, the second stage of the Petzl Legend Tour Italy stops off at Sperlonga, the hotspot for sport climbing development in Central Italy during the 1980’s.

Starting at 9.00 am today, Italian Paralympic athlete Andrea Lanfri will travel the route from Marina di Pisa to monte Serra and back, non-stop, alternating running and cycling. The event will be broadcast live on his social channels, to celebrate World Meningitis Day.

Galliano Bordin, the founder of the Italian footwear company AKU, passed away aged 85 on Saturday. On 27 November 2020, the mountain guides Francesco Rigon and Santiago Padrós established a new mixed climb on monte Nero di Presanella (Adamello - Presanella group, Italy). Called Illogika, the new line probably has some sections in common with a 1964 summer route. Padrós reports.
