On 2 March Sébastien de Sainte Marie, Olov Isaksson and Gilles Bornet skied the west face of Grand Muveran (1600m, 5.2/5.3 E4) in Switzerland's Bernese Alps.

On Saturday 2 March 2013, Matteo della Bordella and Luca Schiera made the first ascent of a new route which, for the first time ever, breaches the west face of Torre Egger (Cerro Torre massif, Patagonia).

The North East ridge of Ulvetanna Peak (2931m) in the Antarctica has been climbed for the first time by Leo Houlding, Sean Leary, Alastair Lee, Jason Pickles, Chris Rabone and David Reeves.

News from Patagonia: 48 alpinists summited Cerro Torre via the Ragni Route, while a variation finish was added called Directa Huarpe. The Cerro Pollone group was traversed by Japanese climbers Jumbo Jokoyama e Ryo Masumoto.

Two new routes have been established up the NW Face of Hochgasser in Austria: Ben Gassa and Wurzer Rinne.
