The two mountain guides Christoph Hainz and Roger Schäli have opened 'Chi non lavora non fa l'amore' (7b, 6b+ obligatory) on the east face of Monte Monaco at San Vito lo Capo in Sicily.

On 31/12/2025 Filip Babicz and Olivier Gajewski climbed the historic 'Allain-Leininger' route (TD+, M7, 900m) on the north face of the Petit Dru (3,733m) in the Mont Blanc massif. This is a rare single-day free ascent in winter of this classic, established in 1935 by Pierre Allain and Raymond Leininger.

Olivier Kolly, Filippo Sala and Silvan Schüpbach have made the first ascent of 'Le clin d’œil' on the north face of Dent Blanche (4357m) in Switzerland. The new route, climbed on 28 and 29 December 2025, forms part Schüpbach's 'The 6 Forgotten North Face' project.

On the Southwest face of Mount Gulba in Georgia's Caucasus mountains a women's expedition comprised of Elena Barbist, Elisabeth Mayr, Elena Prem, Hannah Rabl, Jana Scheiring and Babsi Vigl has made the first ascent 'Pferderennen02'. The September 2025 expedition was the final stage of the Austrian Alpinkader program. Mayr reports.

Ukrainian climber Ievgeniia Kazbekova has repeated 'Necessary Evil' (5.14c/8c+) at the Virgin River Gorge, USA, four months after giving birth.

In Valle dell'Orco, Italy, Marcello Bombardi has made the first ascent of 'A pugni chiusi' (9a). Located at the Ice Park crag, the climb freed on 18 October 2025 was bolted by valley locals Andrea Migliano, Manuel Bracco and Simone Papalia and is 100% natural.

In December 2025 young German climbers Lukas Buchberger and Florian Frank made the first ascent of 'Hawaii Girls' (7c+ max. 7a obl., 180m) on the NE Face of Jebel Oujdad in Taghia, Morocco. Frank reports.
