On 15 August 2021 Dani Arnold made a solo ascent of the North Face of the Petit Dru (3733m) in the Mont Blanc massif, climbing the historic Allain-Leininger route (900m TD+) in just 1 hour, 43 minutes.

Juho Knuuttila (26) from Finland and Misha Mishin (27) from Russia have established Ørneeggen, the first climb up the west face of Mt. Storskiva (848m) on the island of Moskensøya off the Lofoten islands in Norway. Knuuttila reports about the 'true adventure climbing' they experienced in August 2021.

On the 9th of August, the French-Peruvian Andinists Steve Meder and Edward Saona established a new route up the South-west face of Nevado Sullcon Sur (5650m) in the Central Cordillera mountain range of Peru. Cara Suroeste Directa is only the 4th ascent of the mountain.

Dmitrii Panov reports about a Russian summer 2020 climbing expedition to Peak Kart and Peak Mechta, situated in the South Muysky Ridge area of Siberia. During the 20-day expedition the climbers forged 8 new routes, made the first ascents of 8 mountains and completed 2 ridge traverses.

Belgian rock climbers Sébastien Berthe and Siebe Vanhee have made a ground-up free ascent of the 20-pitch (550m) test-piece ‘Fly on the Staldenfluh in the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland.

German alpinist David Göttler has climbed Peña Vieja (2613m) in the Picos de Europa massif in Spain via the route El Espolon de los Franceses. 17 pitches followed by a long and exposed ridge, with his 81-year-old father.

On 9 May 2021 the three mountain guides Paul Bonhomme, Vivian Bruchez and Gilles Sierro completed the first ski descent of the SW Face of Bietschorn in Valais, Switzerland

On 10 May Andrzej Bargiel and Jędrek Baranowski climbed Laila Peak (6096m) in the Karakorum, Pakistan. Starting from about 150m below the summit, the two Polish mountaineers then descended on skis.
