On 19/05/2001 Giacomo Casiraghi and Mario Vannuccini carried out what is likely to be the first ascent of "Goulotte del Pioda" (III/WI2R, 75° 580m) on the remote West Face of Monte Pioda 3431m in the Masino-Disgrazia mountain chain, Italy.

The "Alta Via dell’Adamello", or Adamello High Trail No. 1, is a spectacular 70km hike through the beautiful Adamello mountain range in the Italian Alps.

On 16 April 2011 Nicola Tondini managed the second free ascent of "Testa o Croce" (185m, 8b max, 7c obligatory), the route on the Monte Cimo buttress (Val d’Adige) established together with Nicola Sartori in autumn 2009 and which Sartori had freed in April 2010.
