After Everest in 3D, it's time to check out the new webcam which looks directly onto the highest mountain in the world. The cam was installed on 15/05/2011 by Italian and Nepalese techicians for the EvK2Cnr committee on at circa 5600m, 11km from Everest.
The works were corrdinated by Giampietro Verza who explained: "The main difficulties were to do with connectivity, to the WiFi links, and we had to install various bridges and repeaters so that the signal could get to Kala Patthar and the Pyramid Laboratory: I can assure you that at that altitude there aren't any electric power sockets!"
