The first ascent of 'Inshallah' on Corna Rossa, Brenta Dolomites (Andrea Rosà, Francesco Salvaterra 2022-2025)

After four years, we’ve finally completed our project on Corna Rossa, one of the most accessible peaks in the Brenta Dolomites. The result is an engaging route — more demanding than expected at first glance, but ultimately easier than we'd originally thought. It’s a modern climb, protected with trad gear where possible and bolts on the more compact sections. All belays are bolted. The rock quality is generally excellent, though the sustained nature of the climb suggests allowing for some margin in the 6b/c grade.

As mentioned, this route was slow in the making, the first of our three days on it dates back to spring 2022. During recent trips for both work and pleasure, we were fortunate to go climbing in Morocco. The Arabic word Inshallah, "God willing, captures, in a way, a fascinating approach to life: accepting that not everything is under our control. It’s a mindset that fosters serenity; keeping course, while acknowledging that the current may shift at any given moment.

- Francesco Salvaterra, Tione di Trento
