President Evil, new multipitch climb on Rognon Vaudano (Mont Blanc) by Niccolò Bruni, Ezio Marlier

Another trip to higher altitudes, another new route for Niccolò Bruni who on 29 June teamed up with Ezio Marlier to open President Evil on Rognon Vaudano. As with the other multipitch climbs on this peak, the route offers beautiful climbing on excellent grey, then red granite. Five pitches up to 7a, partially protected with bolts.

Writing to planetmountain after the first ascent, Bruni stated: "After Rise Slow with Federica last week, here's the latest addition to the Rognon – President Evil, a name Ezio came up with. Awesome! We'd both spotted the line during our trips there last week, and we finally managed to combine forces to open this beautiful route. President Evil was our first route together – and I'm sure it won't be the last!"
