On 27 August 2024 Italian mountain guides Niccolò Bruni and Gianluca Marra made the first ascent of 'C'era una volta il West' on Rognon Vaudano, below Dent du Géant in the Mont Blanc massif.

After establishing Cric e Croc in July, the two Courmayeur mountain guides Niccolò Bruni and Gianluca Marra returned to Rognon Vaudano just below the Dent du Géant and made the first ascent of another new route, C'era una volta il West.
This starts just to the right of Cric e Croc and is, according to Bruni "a bit more difficult, up to 7a+ but with an obligatory grade no higher than 6b+." The route offers "beautiful crack climbing, with plenty of hand jams and laybacks. The second-to-last, but especially the last pitch are really quite incredible."
