On 20/01/2026 Austrian alpinists Martin Sieberer and Lukas Waldner completed the first winter ascent of 'Schutzengelweg' on the North Face of Sagwandspitze in the Valsertal valley in tyrol, Austria. First ascended in summer 1982 by Andreas Orgler and Reinhard Schiestl, this is the first known repeat in 34 years.

The two mountain guides Christoph Hainz and Roger Schäli have opened 'Chi non lavora non fa l'amore' (7b, 6b+ obligatory) on the east face of Monte Monaco at San Vito lo Capo in Sicily.

On 29 November Jacopo Larcher from the South tyrol, Italy repeated the E12 trad climb 'Bon Voyage' (E12) at Annot in France. This is the 4th ascent after James Pearson, Adam Ondra and Seb Berthe.

Between 21 and 23 August 2025, Matteo De Zaiacomo, Chiara Gusmeroli and Davide Nesa established the new route 'Less is More' on the previously unclimbed northwest face of Shawa Kangri. Davide Nesa reports about the expedition to the Rangtik Valley in the Zanskar region of India.

From 12 - 27 October 2025 the Russian mountaineers Natalia Belyankina, Kirill Eizeman, Sergey Kondrashkin, Vitaly Shipilov and Andrey Vasilyev established a new route on the southwest face of Manaslu (8163m).
