Over a period of four days at the end of April, Christoph Hainz opened Marmotta Volante o Torre di Grande Falzarego in the Dolomites. The new route, established rope solo and ground-up, climbs the mountain's beautiful east face in 11 pitches, past compact rock protected by bolts and a few pegs. All belays are equipped with bolts and rings. After the first ascent, the route was freed on 2 May by Hainz together with Gerda Schwienbacher, with difficulties up to 6b max, 5a obligatory.

According to the South Tyrolean mountain guide, who in 2024 made the rope-solo first ascent of the instant classic Dolomiti Race on Piz Ciavazes in the Sella group, this new addition will also prove popular: "It will almost certainly become a hit, like the nearby Via Dibona."
