A brief and by no means complete journey through the stories and the climbs of 2013, while waiting for new year.

On 8/12/2013 Austrian alpinist David Lama made the first ascent, solo, of Nordverschneidung (400m, 90°, WI4, M4/5, VI/VII) up the North Face of Hohe Kirche in the Valsertal, Zillertal Alps, Austria.

On 14 May David Lama soloed the Mittelpfeiler route (800m, M5) up sagwand in the Valsertal, Zillertal Alps, Austria.

On 16 and 17 March 2013 the highly experienced Austrian alpinists Hansjörg Auer, David Lama and Peter Ortner made the first winter ascent of the sagwand via the route Schiefer Riss first climbed by Mathias Rebitsch and Roland Berger in 1947.

On 31/03/2012 David Lama solo climbed the new route Badlands (700m, 6a M5 WI4 A1) up the unnamed face between sagwand and Hohe Kirche in the Valsertal, Tyrol, Austria

Albert Leichtfried and Benedikt Purner have carried out the first ascent Moonwalk WI6/M7, at 1000m the longest icefall in Austria.

David Lama from Austria and Jorg Verhoeven from Holland have carried out the first ascent of "Desperation of the Northface", an 820m line with difficulties up to 7b on the sagwand (3227m) in the Zillertal Alps, Austria.
