From 6 - 13 June 2025 alpinists Ethan Berman, Maarten van Haeren and Sebastian Pelletti made the first ascent of ‘Shooting the Moon’ (WI4 M5, 3100m), a magnificent new mixed route climbed alpine style on Ultar Sar, Pakistan.

In January 2025 Canadian alpinists Flavie Cardinal and Jasper Pankratz made the first ascent of 'Todo lo que se Comparte' on Pirita Central in the remote Piritas valley, a side valley of the Turbio Valley in Northern Patagonia. Cardinal reports.

Interview with François Cazzanelli who on 7 March 2025 teamed up with Giuseppe Vidoni to make the first ascent of 'Bianco Invisibile' (800m, 6c, M7, AI5) on the east face of Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey (4112m) in the Mont Blanc massif. The route ends at the col at 3900m.

On the west face of Cerro Piergiorgio in Patagonia, Italian alpinists Matteo Della Bordella, Dario Eynard, and Mirco Grasso have completed Gringos Locos. The route was first attempted in 1995 by Maurizio Giordani and Luca Maspes, who had managed to climb more than three-quarters up the face.

On the east face of Aguja Val Biois in the Fitz Roy massif of Patagonia the Italian climbers Alessandro Baù, Matteo Della Bordella and Mirco Grasso have made the first ascent of '¿Quién sigue?' (450m, 7a, A1).

From 26/12/2024 to 01/01/2025, French alpinists Philippe Bruley, Amaury Fouillade and Baptiste Obino made the first ascent of 'Petit Pont' on the West Face of the Petit Dru in the Mont Blanc massif. The 1000m mixed route has been graded ED 1000m M5 6a A3.
