On 28 January 2026, Italian alpinists Leo Gheza and Luca Matteucci established Over the Trip in Valsavarenche, Aosta Valley, Italy. The new mixed route is located to the right of the classic ice climb Trip in the Night, first ascended in March 1988 by Fabrizio Bertino and Roberto Zorzettig and described as "absolutely one of the most beautiful icefalls in the Aosta Valley", and the more recent Trip in the Light.

Climbed from the ground up in a single day, the new three-pitch route "constantly alternates between rock and ice on overhanging mushrooms and rock hooks that are sometimes solid, sometimes delicate... a good mix of everything." After the first ascent, Gheza returned two days later with Giulia Compagnoni for the first free ascent.
