In April a mixed Slovenian – Swiss - German headed to Spitzbergen in Norway where they made numerous mixed first ascents.

On 6 May Rolando Larcher carried out the first free ascent of Mezzogiorno di fuoco (270m, 8b max, 7c obligatory) on Punta Giradili, Sardinia. The route had been established by Larcher together with Maurizio Oviglia and Roberto Vigiani in 2006.

On 02.05.07 Silvio Mondinelli and Marco Confortola reached the summit of Cho Oyu (8201m) in just 19 hours and without supplementary oxygen.

On 29/05 the Swiss-Italian trio comprised of Giacomelli - Pellissier - Troillet won the XVI Mezzalama, the most challenging ski mountaineering race in the world. The women's event was won by the extraordinary Martinelli - Pedranzini - G.Pellissier, who in doing so also set a new course record.
