On 14 August 2023 Louis Gundolf made the first free asent of an old David Lama project on the south face of Laserz in the Lienz Dolomites, Austria. The 250m multipitch was established by the Austrian climbing prodigy between 2013-14 to the left of his Safety Discussion and is marked by poor, runout protection though continuously overhanging terrain. Lama freed 7 of the 8 pitches and estimated the crux at 8c+, confirmed a decade later by Gundolf. Here's the footage documenting his sucessful redpoint of Projekt Lama.
