The report by Stefano Campanini who on 24 August 2025, together with Matteo Terzi, established 'Lupi Solitari' (Lone Wolves), a new rock climb on the Rocca di Nambrone, in the Adamello-Presanella range of the Italian Alps.

On the south face of Marmolada (Dolomites) Nicolò Geremia and Mirco Grasso have completed their new climb 'Chiaroveggenza'. The two alpinists had established the first 10 pitches to the halfway ledge in 2019, and this summer added a final 10 to the summit of Punta Ombretta.

Italian climbers Pietro Vidi and Alessandro Larcher have successfully made a free ascent of 'Joy Division' (800m, 8b), on Mount Qualido in Val Di Mello, Italy. The pair redpointed the first pitch, graded 8b, after having free climbed the rest of the route.

Last summer the Italian mountain guides Niccolò Bruni and Gianluca Marra established 'Diretta al Borelli' on the south face of Mont Noir de Peuterey in Val Veny, in the Mont Blanc massif.

Earlier this summer Luca Ducoli and Leo Gheza made the first ascent of 'Il Tempo Sospeso' on the south face of Furcia Rossa III in the Fanis Dolomites. Gheza reports.

On 7 September 2025 Colin Haley completed the coveted first winter solo of Cerro Torre. The 41-year-old American alpinist climbed via the famous Ragni Route and made one bivouac, 3 pitches below the summit.

On 11 August Janina Reichstein and Luisa Deubzer repeated 'Headless Children' (8b, 250m) on Schijenfluh, Rätikon. The pair made an ecopoint ascent, travelling to the mountain to work the route by train, bus and hitchhiking. Deubzer reports.
