Great success at Arco for for the 5th Rock Junior: hundreds of young climbers protagonists of this authenic sport's festival.

Patrick Edlinger, one of climbing's greatest living legends, will be the star guest at Arco's Rock Junior on 17 and 18 June 2006.

Rock Junior returns to Arco on 17 and 18 June. This is the first great event of the season which promises something completely new: the legendary Rock Master competition will be joined this year by the first ever Arco Rock Legends Award!

In April Alexandra Taistra from Poland redpointed Resistanza Atipica 8b at Ferentillo, Italy.

On 8/05 Maurizio Manolo Zanolla made the first ascent of "El Sior Favonio" 8c.

Monique Forestier from Australia has made the third ascent of the beautiful Larger Than Life, 31 (8b) at Centennial Glen, Blue Mountains. In mid-April Garth Miller freed one of the hardest routes on the continent, One on One 33/34 (8c/8c+) at Mini Ha Ha, Blue Mountains.

On 29/05 Flavio Crespi and Angela Eiter won the first stage of the World Cup Lead in Puurs (BEL). 16 year old David Lama placed 2nd at his debut performance.

On 24 January Albert Leichtfried made the first ascent of "Illuminati", a 5 pitch mixed outing located in Val Lunga, close to Selva Gardena (South Tyrol) N. Italy . The 30 year old Austrian has put forward the impressive grade M11+/WI 6+.

On 12/01/2006 Mario Prinoth made the first ascent of Albertina at the Grotta di Campitello, Dolomites.
