If he continues at this pace, he’ll soon lose count. We’re obviously talking about Stefano Ghisolfi, who has just completed yet another 9b which happens to be his third during this Spanish trip. The route in question is Neanderthal, established in the massive cave of Santa Linya by Chris Sharma in 2009.

In an amazing display of strength and fitness, Ghisolfi needed a mere 9 sessions to clip the chains of a grade which only a few years ago was considered the pinnacle of sport climbing.

Ghisolfi had traveled to Spain with the stated goal of sending four 9b's, and now, after The Full Journey at Margalef in February, Sleeping Lion at Siurana in early March, and Neanderthal, he now has his eyes set on the next goal: Fight or Flight in Oliana. Stay tuned.
