Andrzej Bargiel makes first complete ski descent of Everest without bottled oxygen Polish ski mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel has become the first person on the world to climb and then make a complete ski descent of Mount Everest (8,849m) without supplementary oxygen. The 37-year-old skied the mountain's south face and stopped for the night at Camp II.
