Justin Sackett and Michael Telstad have made the first ascent of 'Borrowed Time' (WI5 M7 1,900ft) on the West Face of Sloan Peak in the North Cascades, USA.

From 17 to 21 February 2025, French climber Benjamin Védrines completed a solo winter ascent of the BASE route on the West Face of the Drus in the Mont Blanc massif.

From 26/12/2024 to 01/01/2025, French alpinists Philippe Bruley, Amaury Fouillade and Baptiste Obino made the first ascent of 'Petit Pont' on the West Face of the Petit Dru in the Mont Blanc massif. The 1000m mixed route has been graded ED 1000m M5 6a A3.

At Cadarese in Italy Pietro Vidi has repeated 'Tribe', one of the most difficult trad climbs in the world, put up in 2019 by Jacopo Larcher.
