On Saturday 30 August 2014 Frenchman François D'Haene and Rory Bosio from America won the The North Face Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc 2014. For both athletes this is the second victory of this long and difficult trail running competition around Mont Blanc.

America's Alex Puccio, for the third year running, wins the Boulder Contest at the Arco Rock Master together with Slovenia's Jernej Kruder. Jeremy Bonder from France and Akiyo Noguchi from Japan place second, while Makoto Yamauchi from Japan and Julija Kruder from Slovenia place third.

Dinara Fakhritdinova and Sean McColl have won the Rock Master Orbit Duel at the Arco Climbing Stadium today, beating Jakob Schubert and Evgeniya Malamid.

Sachi Amma and Magdalena Röck win the Rock Master Lead 2014. Francesco Vettorata a fantastic second.

The Italian leg of the Paraclimbing World Cup has just come to an end on the enormous Climbing Stadium overhangs.

The Men's Open Boulder finished this morning. Those who have qualified for the Final on Sunday 31 August are Kokoro Fuji (JPN), James Kassay (AUS), Gregor Vezonik (SLO), Makoto Yamauchi (JPN). The four women who qualify are Katja Kadic (SLO), Ekaterina Andreeva (RUS), Julija Kruder (SLO), Sol Sa (KOR).

Charlotte Durif, Mathilde Becerra, Claudia Ghisolfi, Christine Schranz, Maja Vidmar, Alina Ring all qualify for the Semifinal. The male qualifiers for Saturday’s onsight are Mikhail Chernikov, Valeriy Kryukov, Urban Primozic, Francesco Vettorata, Thomas Joannes and Loïc Timmermans.

The Rock Master Festival 2014 kicks off on Thursday 28 August with an intense four day line-up: Lead, Boulder, Paraclimbing Cup, Speed World Cup and the Arco Rock Legends Award. This evening in Munich, Germany, Adam Ondra and Juliane Wurm won the Bouldering World Championship 2014. Silver was won by Jernej Kruder and Alex Puccio, while bronze went to Jan Hojer and Akiyo Noguchi.

The Bouldering World Championship 2014 enters the decisive rounds in Munich today. At 11.00am the Semifinals, at 18:30 the finals, all in live streaming.

The 2014 Bouldering World Championship starts in Munich, Germany tomorrow. The men's Qualification takes place on Thursday, the Women's Qualification on Friday while the Semifinals and Finals take place on Saturday.

The Americans Anton Krupicka and Rory Bosio have won the eighth edition of the North Face® Lavaredo Ultra Trail. In the shorter race, the Cortina Trail, victory went to the German Fabian Schnekenburger and Lara Mustat.
