The first stage of the ice world cup Difficulty and Speed takes place in Valle di Daone from 18 - 20 January 2008.

On 11/02 the third and final stage of the Ice Climbing World Cup took place in Busteni (Romania) and was won by Evgeny Krivosheitsev from the Ukraine and Jenny Lavarda from Italy.

On 03/02 Evgeny Kryvosheytsev and Jenny Lavarda won the second stage of the ice world cup 2007 in Saas Fee and in doing so also won the Ice Difficulty World Championships.

Ines Papert and Harald Berger win in Norway and in doing so win the overall Ice Climbing World Cup 2006.

On 28/01 at Spicak (Czech Republic) the second stage of the UIIA Ice Climbing World Cup was won by Simon Wandeler and Ines Papertahead of Markus Bendler (2), Harald Berger (3) and Ksenia Sdobnikova (2), Anna Torretta (3).

The Frenchman Sebastien Foissac and the Italian Attilio Munari have recently qualified to become international ice world cup routesetters. Together with the three new judges Irina Ryzhenkova (RUS), Andrej and Jasna Pacjak (SLO) they completed a four-day course in Italy's Valle di Daone.

The first international judges and routesetter course for ice cliimbing will be held in Italy's Valle di Daone from 16 to 22 December 2002.
