On 24 May 2025, French mountaineer Benjamin Védrines required 4 hours, 54 minutes, and 41 seconds to complete the round trip from Chamonix to the summit of Mont Blanc. Here's the first video of the new Fastest Known Time.

Two new fastest known times have been set on Mont Blanc: Èlise Poncet ascended from the church to the summit and back in 6:54, while Benjamin Védrines, via a different route, required 4 hours and 54 minutes.

On 9 April 2025, Italian ski instructor Claudio Lanzafame skied the west face of Cima Serodoli (Adamello-Presanella range). Lanzafame’s report details what is likely to be the first descent of this face.

On 16 October 2024, Beau Fredlund and Ross Hewitt made the coveted first ski descent of the Dragon's Back / Central spur of the Spencer Face of Elie de Beaumont in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Hewitt reports

Alpinists Chantel Astorga, Christina Lustenberger and Jim Morrison have made the first ski descent of Great Trango Tower (6286m) in Pakistan, skiing a steep, exposed and weaving line down the mountain's west face.
