Antoine Montant On Sunday Antoine Montant was found dead in the French Alps. The 30-year-old was a forerunner of paragliding and speedriding. Capable of interpreting skiing in the mountains in a new and above all revolutionary manner, his death leaves behind an enormous void. By Luca Rolli.

Carletto Alverà, good bye to another flag bearer of the Scoiattoli di Cortina Yesterday morning Carletto Alverà Lete passed away at the age of 92. The Italian was the flag bearer of the Gruppo Scoiattoli di Cortina, a mountain guide and ski instructor. He takes with him another piece of the history of alpinism in Cortina and the Valle d'Ampezzo, Dolomites.

Grivel - Chabod, Aig. Blanche de Peuterey, ski descent On 04/06/2010 Francesco Civra Dano and Luca Rolli skied the North Face of Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey (Mont Blanc) via the Grivel - Chabod route. The first and only ski descent was carried out in 1980 by Stefano De Benedetti.

Luca Vuerich killed by avalanche On 22 January 2010, 34 year old Italian mountaineer Luca Vuerich was killed by an avalanche while climbing an icefall at Prisojinik, close to Kranjska Gora on the Italian-Slovenian border. Vuerich was rescued and transported to hospital in Udine, where he died of his injuries.
