Polish climber Lukasz Dudek has carried out the first ascent of "Made in poland" at Wielka Cima, at 9a the hardest route in the country poland.

The four day ski mountaineering marathon in Arêches-Beaufort (France) was won by the Spanish-Swiss team comprised of Kilian Jornet Burgada and Florent Troillet. The women's event was won by the Italians Francesca Martinelli and Roberta Pedranzini.

02/11/08. Rustam Gelmanov and Katharina Saurwein won the seventh and last stage of the Bouldering World Cup 2008 in Moscow at the start of November. Kilian Fischhuber and Anna Stöhr won the overall World Cup, while Evgeny Vaytsekhovsky and Edyta Ropek won the Speed World Cup 2008.
