Speed Climbing Worldcup at the Film Festival in Trento
On Saturday 25 April the second stage of the Speed World Cup will take place in Trent, Italy. The event is part of the 25th edition of the Trento FilmFestival.
Trento Speed Climbing Worldcup, Saturday 25 April
The spectacle of the IFSC Speed World Cup 2009 returns to the unique city of Trento this weekend. The fastest vertical sprinters in the world will battle it out on the 15m track, approved by the International Federation of Sport Climbing. Other than victory in this second stage, the athletes will also be able to set a new world record. At present this is held by Qixin Zhong from China in 7.35 seconds and his female teammate Li Chun Hua in 10.58 seconds, both registered for the event in Trento.
Apart from these two super athletes, there will also obvioulsy be the Russians Sergey Sinitsyn and Anna Stenkovaya, winners of the first stage held in Poland's Tarnow last Sunday and athletes from Russia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Venezuela and Italy
The comeptition will be run by the Speed Rock Committee which will organise the Daone stage at the start of August.

15:00 – eighth, quarter, semi and finals, Semifinali e Finali
17:30 – Award Ceremony
