Bearing this in mind, a few days back Robbie Phillips returned to his The Troll Toll below the Meggetland New Bridge in Edinburgh which he’d recently first ascended with pre-placed gear in order to climb the route in the finest of styles. Spotted by a friend in a punctured inflatable dinghy, the 29-year-old Scotsman crossed the river straight off, producing the route’s first shallow water solo. With crack climbing gloves though… ;-)
