The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. This proverb holds true for Italy’s Camilla Bendazzoli, elder sister of star climber Giorgio Bendazzoli who last weekend at Massone, Arco, sent the stamina fest Super Maratona. Graded 8b/+ and located at the upper Pueblo sector, this follows in the wake of Camilla’s first 8b+, Elephant man redpointed at a nearby crag last summer.
Unsurprisingly, Camilla has done extremely well in competitions, too, clinching third place in the recent Italian Bouldering Cup at Brixen and finishing the season fifth overall.
