Pedeferri adds new multi-pitch in Val di Mello
Simone Pedeferri and Adriano Selva add Yellow butterfly 8a/8a+ to the Val di Mello
"A great route that follows a logical line up through the wall. A Californinan-style route, comparable to the Salathe, the Nose etc." This is how Simone Pedeferri introduces "Yellow Butterfly", his new route ascended with Adriano Selva on the East Face of Mt. Qualido, Val di Mello. Val di Mello holds a strong place in the history of rock climbing in Italy. Its granite walls were the scene of free climbing development during the late '70's and early '80's and even today its multi-pitch trad routes remain a highly popular testing ground.
