There are currently few details to go on, but what we know is certainly interesting: from 13 to 15 July, Dani Arnold, Alexander Huber and Simon Gietl established a new route on Jirishanca in Peru. Kolibri spans 31 pitches on the mountain's east face, covers 1,030 meters of vertical gain, and features difficulties up to 8 A2. Due to prohibitive conditions the trio did not climb to the main summit but instead terminated their ascent on the east summit at 6023m.

Posting directly onto their social media handle, the trio explained "We can look back on a mega wonderful time with unforgettable moments! We were a great team on the wall and at base camp! Luck was on our side in every respect, we were able to take advantage of the weather window and realize our projects! Now it’s time to go home. Best regards from Peru. Alexander, Dani & Simon."
