Over a period of 8 days in February 2018 the Georgian mountaineers Archil Badriashvili and Giorgi Tepnadze climbed the highest mountain in their country Georgia, Mount Shkhara, via a new route. Established alpine style, this was the first winter ascent of the enormous South Face, past 60 pitches and difficulties up to 6B ED2; M5; WI5; 75-80˚.
