Kurt Diemberger, the video interviews
Our video interviews with the great Austrian alpinist Kurt Diemberger, one of the strongest mountaineers of all times who will receive the "Walter Bonatti" Lifetime Achievement Award during the Piolets d’Or 2013 which will take place from 3 - 6 April in Courmayeur and Chamonix Mont Blanc.

Our guests included Kurt Diemberger, absolutely exceptional and poetic.
Here they are, our video interviews with all-time great Kurt Diemberger, the highly talented Austrian mountaineer who can look back not only on two extraordinary first ascents of the 8000 metre giants - Broad Peak in the Karakoram in 1957 and Dhaulagiri in the Himalaya in 1960 - but also on an experience and exploration of those high altitudes that has few comparisons. It is for this reason that Diemberger will receive the 5th Walter Bonatti Lifetime Achievement Award during the 21st Piolets d’Or which will take place in Courmayeur and Chamonix from 3 - 6 April. On two occasions the Planetmountain editors had the honour of interviewing Diemberger; unique moments, memorable, recounted by the great narrator and captured by Vinicio Stefanello and Francesco Mansutti.
