Kangchenjunga ascent
Il 20/05, Silvio Mondinelli, Merelli, Pauner, Kuntner and Reichen reached the summit of Cima del Kangchenjunga.
Silvio Mondinelli, Mario Merelli, Carlos Pauner, Kristian Kuntner and Kobi Reichen reached the 8586 meter high summit of Kangchenjunga on the 20th of May at 16.00 (Nepalese time). They ascended the third highest mountain in the world possibly along a new line. After an exhausting descent, characterised by poor weather and the sudden disappearance of Pauner - who miraculously reappeared after bivouacing 2 nights alone on the mountain - the team is now happily reunited at BC, waiting for the helicopter ride back to Kathmandu.
