The video of the David Lama memorial day, in rememberance of the Austrian mountaineer who lost his life along with Hansjörg Auer and Jess Roskelley on Howse Peak in Canada last April.

On July 19, 2019 more than 1,600 people gathered in memoriam of David Lama in front of his beloved home mountains, the Kalkkögel in Tirol/Austria. Music by Okiem, speeches by some of David's closest friends and a sea of lights provided the perfect setting to make this day unforgettable for the whole community. Lama completed the outstanding first ascent of Lunag Ri precisely one year ago and this anniversary was chosen to share some thoughts and the memorial day.
