The Italian Kurt Astner has freed two new mixed routes in Valle di Landro, South Tyrol. The routes are located in a low but steeply overhanging cave and both were bolted prior to the first ascent. 'Stille Erinerungen' (M9-) was cleaned by Konrad Auer and freed by Astner in mid-February. A couple of weeks later it was time for 'Fly in the Wind', which proved to be a significant step harder and at M10 is now the most difficult mixed route in the Dolomites.

As Kurt states “I haven’t got a great deal of experience and I don’t know many M10 routes but I’ve been to Val di Cogne to climb X-Files and Fly in the Wind has more of an alpine feel and is also longer. I’ve also been to Switzerland to repeat one of Jasper’s routes graded M10 which, for me at least, seemed easier than Fly in the Wind.
