From 5 - 9 March 2026 Japanese climbers Kosuke Kawachi, Toru Nakajima and Yudai Suzuki, made the first ascent of 'Echoes in the Dark' (800m, 7a, A3, X) on Cerro Cota, Torres del Paine, Patagonia, Chile.

From 3 to 6 April 2026, French alpinists Pierre Girot, Kilian Moni, Hugo Peruzzo and Arthur Poindefert established 'Jorassique Pâques' on the Grandes Jorasses in the Mont Blanc massif. Graded ED+ M7 A3, the 1100-metre route climbs to Pointe Whymper on the north face. Poindefert reports.
