Italian mountain guides Niccolò Bruni and Giovanni Ravizza have established 'Grand Couloir Milleottocentocinquanta (1850)', a mixed climb located between Tour des Jorasses pillar and Punta Massimo in the Mont Blanc massif.

Interview with François Cazzanelli who on 7 March 2025 teamed up with Giuseppe Vidoni to make the first ascent of 'Bianco Invisibile' (800m, 6c, M7, AI5) on the east face of Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey (4112m) in the Mont Blanc massif. The route ends at the col at 3900m.

On 19/01/2025 Simon Messner and Philipp Prünster made the first ascent of the icefall '4Matic' (WI5, 300m) on the Laaser Ferner Wand in the Lasa Valley, a side valley of the Vinschgau valley in South Tyrol, Italy. Messner reports.

On 10/02/2023 Sarah Haase and Daniel Ladurner made the first ascent of the mixed climb Fossil (M7+ WI4) in the Bletterbach canyon, South Tyrol, Italy.

On 30/02/2023 Italian alpinists François Cazzanelli, Emrik Favre, Stefano Stradelli made the first ascent of 'Sognando l’inimmaginabile' on the East Face of Mont Blanc du Créton (3406m, Petites Murailles, Italy). 600 meters high, the new mixed climb is graded WI 4+ M7.

Finnish alpinist Juho Knuuttila (27) has added two new mixed climbs on the SW Face of Rånkeipen close to Narvik in Norway. 'Arctic Circus' (M6, WI6) was first ascended with Alexander Nordvall (29), while 'Polar Vortex' (M6, WI6) was established rope-solo. Knuuttila provides the details.
