From 15 -16 June the final stage of the Italian Salewa Rock Show 2013 circuit took place at Città dei Sassi (Sassolungo, sella, Dolomiti) above Val Gardena. Matilda Segui and Danilo Marchionne were elected "Climber of the Day" and will therefore represent Italy at Cube, the enormous Salewa climbing wall...

On Saturday 4 May the XIX Mezzalama Trophy was won by the Italians Manfred Reichegger, Damiano Lenzi and Matteo Eydallin. The women's competition was won by the Italians Laura Besseghini, Raffaella Rossi and Elena Nicolini. Lorenzo Scandroglio provides the report, Marco Spataro the splendid photos.

Mezzalama Trophy gets underway on Saturday 4 May, the classic ski mountaineering competition from Breuil-Cervinia to Gressoney across the slopes of Monte Rosa. The start has been put forward to 5:00am.

The second stage of the project "On the trails of the glaciers", initiated on 28 July, has now come to an end. Created by Italian photographer and alpinist Fabiano Ventura, this project studies the effects of climate change on the Earth's most important mountain glacier.
