For summer 2014 the Dolomites Paganella APT (tourist board), the Molveno Holiday consortium and the Municipality of Molveno have organised a series of events related to the world of mountaineering and hiking, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first crossing of the Brenta Group.

On 8 May 2008 Bruno Detassis died at his home in Madonna di Campiglio. Aged 97, he was one of the all time greats of mountaineering.
