Massive new ice climbs in Romsdalen, Norway A team comprised of Ines Papert, Rudi Hauser, Lukas Seiwald, Kurt Astner, Emanuele Ciullo, Thomas Senf and Scott Milton has just returned from the Romsdalen region in Norway where they repeated a series of routes and made the first ascents of a number of important new ice climbs.

Jenny Lavarda & Marco Ronchi and their ascents of Solo per vecchi guerrieri Interview with Jenny Lavarda after the first free ascent of "Solo per vecchi guerrieri" (150m, 8c+/9a, Vette Feltrine, Dolomites), first ascended by Manolo and repeated by Mario Prinoth and Riccardo Scarian. She was accompanied by Marco Ronchi who also managed to redpoint the route that day.

Umbras, Punta Cusidore: Sardina loves climbing On 15 June Rolando Larcher and Maurizio Oviglia carried out the first free ascent of Umbras (300m 8a max, 7b+ obl.). They had made the first ascent of this rout up the N Face of Punta Cusidore (Sardinia) in 2008.

K2 magic line for Jordi Cormoinas: success and tragedy On 16 August 2004 at 24.00, Jordi Cormoinas, the leader of the Catalan "Tarragona magic line Expedition 2004", made the first repeat of K2's magic line. Manuel de la Matta died during the descent.
