Canadian alpinist Marc-Andre Leclerc has carried out a fast solo ascent of the routes Tomahawk and Excocet on Aguja Standhardt in Patagonia.

From 12 - 14 June 2015 the 4th Arcteryx Alpine Academy took place at Chamonix. 340 participants from 25 countries took part in the event aimed at teaching mountain safety and improving mountain skills on Mont Blanc.

In Patagonia American alpinists Colin Haley and Alex Honnold have attempted a one day ascent of the Cerro Torre Traverse, enchaining Cerro Torre, Torre Egger, Punta Herron and Cerro Standhardt. The two were forced to turn back just two pitches below the last summit due to the Patagonian winds.

From 18 - 21 January 2015 Colin Haley and Marc-André Leclerc climbed Cerro Torre, Torre Egger, Punta Herron and Cerro Standhardt, This new traverse from south to north has been called Travesia del Oso Buda, in memory of Bjørn-Eivind Årtun and Chad Kellogg.

On 08/11/2014 the Canadian climbers Marc-Andre Leclerc and Jon Walsh made the first ascent of The Plum (WI6 M7, 120m) at the Storm Creek Headwall, Kootenay National Park B.C.
