Ines Papert and Harald Berger win in Norway and in doing so win the overall Ice climbing world cup 2006.

Ines Papert from Germany and Markus Bendler from Austria have won the third stage of the Ice climbing world cup 2006, held in Saas Fee, Switzerland, last weekend. Jenny Lavarda and Petra Muller, Simon Wandler and Jack Müller placed second and third.

On 28/01 at Spicak (Czech Republic) the second stage of the UIIA Ice climbing world cup was won by Simon Wandeler and Ines Papertahead of Markus Bendler (2), Harald Berger (3) and Ksenia Sdobnikova (2), Anna Torretta (3).

The fourth Mountaineering - Grignetta d’Oro Awards Ceremony gets underway in Lecco, Italy this weekend. The two-day meeting marks the start of the highly anticipated, week-long mountaineering festival, which includes the World Cup Difficulty, Speed and Bouldering competitions.

n Wednesday 11 June the week-long Mountaineering Festival, due to take place in Lecco from 21-29 June, will be officially presented in Milan.

The first international judges and routesetter course for ice cliimbing will be held in Italy's Valle di Daone from 16 to 22 December 2002.
