Niccolò Ceria nails Off the wagon low in Val Bavona

After an early repeat of Off the wagon in its original 8B+ version in 2014, on 3 February 2023 Niccolò Ceria sent the same problem but with its sit start, aka Off the wagon low. This pure power problem is one of the blocs that has most captured the attention of climbers in recent years, and was established in Val Bavona in Swtizerland's Ticino by Shawn Raboutou in 2018. Graded 8C+, it has already seen a handful of repeats.

Exactly as with the Off the Wagon nine years ago, Ceria repeated the sit from the wagon at staggering speed: 2 sessions in 2011 when it was still a project, 1 session in 2013, 2 sessions in 2014 to complete the original version, 1 session in November 2022 now the send. Although Ceria admits he's not 100% on form, this repeat bodes well for the coming months.
