22-year-old Slovenian climber Lucija Tarkuš has sent her first 9a, Martin Krpan at Mišja peč in Slovenia. Freed on 4 May 2001 by Jure Golob, this grueling link-up connects several routes in the right-hand cave of the crag and was, back then, the first 9a in the country.

Tarkuš spends most her time competition climbing and now, making the most of the winter break, she ticked a few 8c's including Strelovod and Konec mira which constitute the lower and upper part of the linkup. Given the speed of her redpoints, she decided to concentrate on the entire connection and made astonishingly short work of this, too.
